Egypt Corridor 1: Sokhna to Alexandria

The Sokhna–Alexandria Logistic Corridor is a strategic, multi-modal export, transit, and logistics corridor. It connects Egypt’s largest Red Sea port (Ain Sokhna) to the Mediterranean’s Greater Alexandria Port, serving as a backbone for containerized trade, intermodal logistics, and regional supply chain integration. The corridor also acts as a bypass for congested urban centers and is a critical link for both domestic and international trade (Daily News Egypt, 2025; Egypt Today, 2024). Beyond freight, the corridor underpins rapidly growing GCC-driven residential and second-home demand along its spine, especially in Greater Cairo, the New Administrative Capital, and the North Coast, which have emerged as the prime target locations for GCC real-estate investors.
