Taba Port Exapnsion

Objective

"Taba Maritime Seaport Expansion: Building a new marine berth, expanding the seaport footprint from 43,408 to 220,500 square meters, and upgrading it to serve commercial trade routes is costing around EGP 2 billion. This major overhaul is overseen by the Red Sea Ports Authority." The objective is in the future to link to the Suez Canal as it is the shortest rout to the canal.

Description

Development at Taba Port is focused on creating a specialized hub for yachts and general cargo. This includes the construction of new marine berths, a yacht marina, container storage yards, and modern administrative facilities to enhance the Gulf of Aqaba’s logistical capacity.
