GlobalCORRIDOR #16: Yemen and the ever-shifting geographies of the infrastructural blockade + bypass

The latest Global Corridor newsletter has been published. The early September we have seen the return to what seems like all out conflict between Saudi backed Yemeni forces and Ansar Allah (otherwise known as the Houthi’s). Since 2014 Yemen has been in a state of conflict that resulted in the mass suffering of the population, intensified by the involvement of Saudi Arabia, the UAE and western arms supplies in documented war crimes. The return to high intensity war takes place in the regional context of the evolving US-led war on Iran and like this heavily interlinked conflict, infrastructure is the main battleground through which the struggle for dominance is being waged. This newsletter is short but aims to provide some resources and quick reflections on the rapid conflict-led shifts in the global infrastructural geographies of the region
