Gargoub Salloum Railway Line

Objective

To enhance trade and transport between Egypt and Libya by connecting the Gargoub seaport with the Salloum land port. Proposals exist to eventually extend the network further into Libya toward Benghazi.

Description

Gargoub - Salloum logistics corridor that starts from Gargoub seaport on the Mediterranean Sea and reaches Salloum land port, which is considered the largest land port in Egypt, through which the trade exchange movement between Egypt and Libya will be increased passing through the logistics area east of Salloum and the Gargoub / Salloum railway line connects them with a length of 223 km
